Con-G 2009 happened on a snowy weekend in Guelph on Feb 21 and 22, 2009.
We were overwhelmed with the enthusiastic response to our little first year convention. Well we guess we shouldn’t say little as we had around 350 people attend!
We want to send a HUGE thanks to everyone that made this convention happen.
To the staff, you rock!!! We couldn’t have done it without such a great team of people, thanks for helping run such a great convention.
To all the volunteers, Con-G just wouldn’t have been the same without you!! You did a great job making everyone feel welcome. We can’t thank you enough for doing such a FANTASTIC job!! We hope you enjoyed the snacks. There are so many of you to name, but we really appreciate all your help.
To everyone that ran events, THANK YOU! They all ran wonderfully (with one exception – darn PowerPoint!) and we think everyone enjoyed playing them.
To our panellists – you rock! Everyone enjoyed the panels and we’ve heard nothing but wonderful comments about what great jobs you did.
A special thanks to Elemental who came out and did a wonderfully successful photography panel.
Thank you to Dave, our con-medic – we loved having you here and handled all of our accidents with out flaw….even if it was just the papercut incident

To all Con-G attendees, thank you all very much for coming out to Guelph on a such a snowy day for a first year convention, we all really appreciate it! I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time.

Sign-ups for Anime Squares and Survival Checkers are now open!
Survival Checkers will take place on Saturday the 21st, and Anime Squares will be held on Sunday the 22nd of February, 2009.

Please remember that Survival Checkers involves standing close to others and “jumping” over other pieces, so no large props can be on the board, and costumes with large parts such as wings will not fit on the board (sorry!). You do not have to be wearing a costume to participate in Survival Checkers.
There has been a small addition to the Artist Alley application forms.
Artists who wish to share a table together now have a way to request this! We have added a checkbox to the .pdf application form that says “I would like to be located beside a friend”. Simply check it and enter your friend’s name in the line below. Your friend should enter your name on his/her form.
As always, both people at the table must have an Artist Alley badge. Only full tables can be shared, and the maximum number of people per table is two. The easiest way to do this is for both people to buy a half table and enter each other’s names in your forms.
The application forms for Dealers, Sponsors and Artist Alley are now available for download!
The forms are .pdf files. Download them to your computer, and you can enter your information right into the file, making it very easy to email back to us! Once you save and close the file, though, it cannot be edited again. If you need to correct something that you types in, please download the file(s) again and enter your data in the fresh file.
